"Vizsla" means alert and responsive in the Hungarian language. He has become a popular work, show and companion dog in the past few years. Robust but lightly built, he is a great jumper and if bored will try to escape from a yard that does not have a sufficiently high fence. He is the happiest when he has something to do. The Vizsla will adapt to city living, but will require long walks and human companionship as he has an enormous stamina. Somewhat sensitive he needs to been handled gently. He is reliable with children and will quickly adapt to family life.
